Though nowhere near as lethal as Sadu Heavensflame, Knives Dotharl has proven to be a strong contender in previous Nadaams— even to the point of attracting the attention of Magnai Oronir. However, their rivalry remains one-sided at best, as Knives has no interest in indulging the man.Unlike most of the Dotharl, Knives grew bored of participating in the annual Naadam. Though he values many of the cultural traditions and beliefs the Dotharl and Xaela tribes share, he sought different avenues to grow his fighting prowess.Leaving the Azim Steppe behind when he was 22, he traveled first to Hingashi and then eventually to Ishgard. For all of the strict laws in both countries, they are also home to a multitude of clandestine underground fighting rings. He's found his niche in these places, honing his fighting skills through bloodsport.Originally indecisive about whether he would want to return to the Azim Steppe, Knives has since decided his new home is in the Ishgardian (and sometimes Hingan) underground. He currently works and resides in Ishgard, where he has a good group of friends.Outgoing and social at heart, when he's not brawling it out for victory, Knives can be found amidst varying other avenues in Ishgardian society. He's often at cafes and restaurants during the day and at fight rings, taverns, and casinos under the cover of night. He's forged healthy relationships in Ishgard and is actively involved in community outreach in the Brume.He is always in search of new people to meet— and to fight.
